Viña Ochotierras is a limited production winery located in the heart of the Limarí Valley, whose history began in 1993 when we planted our first fine grape vineyards. Since then, we began our work as viticulturists, and since 2005, we have been crafting our own unique wines virtually by hand and under the highest oenological quality standards.
We have a winery equipped with small tanks and designed to minimize the use of pumps. Combined with our demanding production process (hand-harvesting, selection, and manual pressing), this allows us to craft wines with character, transferring the essence of the terroir into every bottle.
Our varieties are Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, and Syrah.
Valle del
Limarí
Located 400 km north of Santiago, in the Coquimbo Region. It is a semi-arid area with low rainfall (less than 100 mm per year), high luminosity, and mineral soils.
Its climate is strongly influenced by the Pacific Ocean due to the presence of 'la Camanchaca,' a cold fog that creeps in from the West every morning into the valley and retreats at noon when one of the brightest skies in the world emerges. The combination of cold mornings, high luminosity, and mineral soils gives the wines a singular character of freshness, minerality, and elegance.
